We are pleased to announce that Dixon Center now offers Integrative Medical Care!  With the addition of Mikel Tereschuk,NP, our new Staff Nurse Practitioner we are able to care for your additional wellness needs through Urgent Care/Walk-in Needs, Lifestyle Education, Smoking Cessation, Weight Loss Management, and Acute Interventional Pain Management.  

The main difference between integrative health care and standard medical care is that integrative care seeks to turn on the natural healing ability. Integrative health care does not add something to the system, instead it removes anything that might interfere with normal function. Integrative Health Care trusts that the body would know what to do if nothing were interfering with it. Standard medical care, on the other hand, seeks to treat a symptom by adding something from the outside – a medication, a surgery or procedure.
